An insect screen is a fabric made from polyester or fibreglass threads with a density of 18×16 threads per cm². The gap between threads is small enough to stop mosquitoes, flies, moths and other insects, but large enough to let air through almost as freely as an open window.
The screen is fitted into a lightweight ALU frame that is mounted on the window frame, reveal or directly onto the wall. The frame is finished to match the window — white, brown, anthracite, silver or any RAL colour. The thin frame profile is virtually invisible through the glass.
Special fine-weave screens are also available for protection against pollen and small airborne allergens — ideal for allergy sufferers who cannot keep windows closed during the flowering season.
